Movement Evening with Deeply Human
Part of the "Deeply Human: The Practice of Being" series at Authentica
What if you saw your hand for the very first time, with no idea what it could do? Would you be in awe of this high-tech tool?
This evening invites you to look at your body through "fresh eyes" and bring wonder, play and genuine human connection back into your physical experience.
A movement intensive exploring how physical forces move through us
WORLD BODY: Movement Workshop on the Power of Stories
Rotterdam | Co-hosted with Valentina Fittipaldi
An exploration of cultural exchange, collective sound, and urban landscape. This session invited participants to connect with the city as explorers and their bodies as researchers, unfolding a four-part journey through landscape, soundscape, and movement to discover a shared sense of aliveness.
In the Museum of Crawling Pedestals and Observing Bones
TENT Rotterdam | Co-hosted with Fenna van Breda
An immersive museum experience that invited to examine familiar ways of relating to art and perceiving it. By turning discomfort into a mirror and asking "What if the pedestal is the artwork?", we used movement, play, and contemplation to critically question who artistic spaces are really for.
No Pressure Event
Studio Boing, Rotterdam | Co-hosted with Alexandra Verschuuren
A meetup for women to move, connect, and explore without the pressure to perform or be anything other than who we are. This session focused entirely on removing the modern pressure to perform, create, or look a certain way by focusing on strategies to embody agency, build relational comfort through the body, and meet our own capacity through movement and storytelling. After the formal workshop, we continued experimenting in an Open Playground space.
Drawn from the Body
WOLK, Rotterdam | Co-hosted with Fenna van Breda
We often think of expression as artistic skill or creative output, but in truth, everything we do is a form of expression. Our body is the first instrument through which we sense, experience, and create in the world. In this workshop we will explored how movement and drawing can interact as a continuous dialogue of sensation, awareness, and creative energy.
Movement Reflections series
Around Rotterdam | Co-created with Alexandra Verschuuren
A series of immersive city adventures. 2026 themes were:
Exploring Boundaries: A physical, partner-based inquiry into personal space and taking up room in the city.
Confronting Fear: A late-evening experience into the woods of Kralingse Bos exploring the fear of letting go, losing control, and being seen.
Attending Boredom: Moving through the city, moving through repeated motions, turning away from digital distraction to discover breath, attention, and and what lies beyond the threshold of boredom.
Appreciating Beauty: A three-chapter sensory journey in Het Park exploring how we perceive, embody, and express internal worlds.
Deep Dive: Groundwork and Movement Qualities
Authentica Roterdam
A movement lab which was dedicated to examining how physical forces move through us based on the principles from the Phasic Body framework of Marcello Palozzo. Through floor work and partner tasks we explored tensile, elastic, colloidal and stiff qualities of the body to ask: "What kind of body would you want if no one told you what it should be?"
